betPawa offers exclusive boosted odds for the biggest football matches over the weekend. There are three exciting matches on Sunday featuring top teams from Europe. League leaders Liverpool welcome Manchester United to Anfield. PSG and Monaco meet in Qatar for the French Super Cup final. Finally, the weekend’s football action ends with the Derby della Capitale (The Rome Derby) between Roma and Lazio in Serie A.

Liverpool v Manchester United

Liverpool is flying high at the top of the Premier League while Manchester United is a few places off the relegation zone.

Ruben Amorim’s team heads to Anfield with 2 victories from 9 league matches on the road. In contrast, Liverpool has the best home league record with 7 wins from 9 games. United have picked up 1 victory in their last 5 away matches, and have lost their last 3 league matches without scoring a goal.

Arne Slot’s team is in formidable form and are the clear favourites for Sunday’s encounter. They beat West Ham 5-0 at the London Stadium with top scorer Mohamed Salah scoring and providing 2 assists.

PSG v Monaco

The Trophée des Champions (French Super Cup) final will be played at the 974 Stadium in Doha, Qatar. The Super Cup match was first held overseas in 2009, with countries such as China, Morocco and Canada hosting the final.

The 2013 Trophée des Champions was hosted in Libreville (Gabon).

The competition pits the winner of Ligue 1 vs the French Cup, however PSG won the ‘double’ last season and therefore will face Monaco, who finished second in the league last season.

PSG is the competition’s most successful club, with 12 victories, while the team from the principality has won the French Super Cup 4 times.

PSG are the reigning Super Cup champions. They beat Toulouse 2-0 at the Parc des Princes at the start of 2024.

Luis Enrique’s team is the favourites to lift the cup again. They’re unbeaten in Ligue 1 and recently beat Monaco 4-2 away from home on 18 December.

Roma v Lazio

The Rome Derby sees the capital’s two most successful teams meet with Roma the ‘home side despite both teams sharing the Stadio Olimpico.

Lazio are flying high in Serie A. They won 7 of their last 10 league matches, securing 22 points from a possible 30. They bounced back from a 6-0 defeat to champions Inter at home to beat Lecce and draw with league leaders Atalanta. That will give them confidence heading into Sunday’s match.

Roma are struggling and have lost 6 of their last 10 matches, only managing 3 wins. Roma manager Claudio Ranieri knows the importance of beating Lazio but faces a difficult challenge.

The 73-year-old Italian has seen his team perform strongly in their last 5 matches. Most notable were the 4-1 win over Lecce and the 5-0 thrashing of Parma.

Lazio poses a different threat to Roma, and Marco Baroni’s men have the edge in their head-to-head with 3 wins in all competitions against their bitter rivals in their last 5 matches in all competitions.

Expect a feisty affair in Rome, with referees dishing out 6 red cards in the last 4 matches between the two sides.
